Lucky Lucky Me!

I think I've mentioned on here before how wonderful my mother-in-law is. She really is great for so many reasons, honestly I could go on and on with my praise for her. But today, it's about the gifts that she just sent me. That's right! I got GIFTS!!!

She has her own business where she sells all kinds of things but my favorite things that she sells are the dishes and cookware that she has made in Portugal. I've tried on several occasions to get her to hire me as her long distance assistant so that I could go to Portugal with her but I guess I can't be of much assistance on the other side of the country.

So, imagine my delight when I came home the other day and found six BIG boxes from her waiting for me on my porch.

Look at what she sent me!

I now have twelve place settings of the dishes, candlestick holders, and a tea set! I've always wanted a tea set!

And should I decide to get my bake on, look at where I can put my cakes!

Aren't they pretty? And if I should decide to learn how to cook something in these things, look what I can cook it in!

What do you make in those? I don't know but I love them!

So, when are you all coming over for dinner?

I like the blue and white one. It looks ideal for making Green Bean Casserole.

Does she sell them online or a catalog or something??

I love the yellow ones!

Seriously, let me know.

I'm not picky - what are you making - and such a nice table you will be setting! - I love the tea set too (does this have something to do with our childhood?) K

Brian- Do you have a Green Bean Casserole recipe you'd like to share? I've never made one.

Bee- She does sell them online but I can't remember the name of her website. :( I'll get it from her and send it to you.
And the yellow ones are great aren't they?

K- Well, if Brian comes through there may be a Green Bean Casserole.
And I think you might be on to something with the tea set and our childhoods.

Alice- Thank you. And trust me, I'm not taking my luck for granted!

That is some beautiful work! I'd have those yellow and blue pieces out on my counter when not in use. Definitely get your bake and put the cake stand to good use!

1 Tin Campbell's Condensed Mushroom Soup
2 Tins Green Beans
French's French Fried onions
a little milk
some soy sauce
ground pepper

mix all the ingredients together & heat in the oven at around 180 Centigrade = 360 Farenheit for 20 minutes or so, until it's hot. You can sprinkle some more fried onions on the top in the last 5 minutes of cooking.

OMG!!

Those are amazing!!

I am insanely jealous. My MIL is no where NEAR that cool.

The only gift she gives me is asking me to let out her pig when she will be gone for a few days.

Nice plates, now you should tell her to come back and cook something

Those are beautiful...

I'd say I agree w/ the last poster (ie want to trade you MIL's) but I wouldn't do that to you :-D

I would like to know that website if you've gotten it though... pretty pretty stuff.
